About the Program
Endorsed and recommended by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE), the Program is organized by College of Urban & Environmental Sciences, Central China Normal University (CCNU). Join this program, you will be guided to:
·Visit Longwang (Dragon king) Temple, Wuhan Waterfront, Xinglong Hydro-complex Project, Gezhou Dam and the Three Gorges Dam, Jingjiang Embankment, contacting different modes of hydro-complex and learning the principles and technologies behind these efforts along the Yangtze River.
·Travel to Xiling gorge of the Three Gorges and Enshi Grand Canyon, etc., experiencing miraculous nature and exploring geological and geomorphological features and their formation.
·Enjoy the ancient melodies of chime bells, read Qu Yuan’s (340-278 BC) poetry, walk through Jingzhou ancient city, touching Jingchu Culture and understanding its gorgeous history and lasting influence.
·Climb the iconic Yellow Crane Tower, tour Enshi Tusi City and visit the Xianling Mausoleum of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), appreciating the exquisite traditional architecture and understanding more about their location and layout.
·Investigate Qianjiang rice-crayfish co-crop system and Chonghu wetlands, discovering the wonders of biodiversity and learning about ecosystem structure and function.
·Visit ‘Three Gorges Family’ and Dong People’s Village, enjoying and joining various performances and rice dumplings hand-making, hand-waving dance, folk songs, Chinese tea making etc.

Target Group
Undergraduate and postgraduate students from overseas universities. And students with science and management backgrounds, especially those who have a basic understanding of geography and tourism, are preferred.
Eligibility and Required Materials
The summer program is open to students from China and other countries, applicants should fulfill the following requirements:
·Aged between the 18-35 and be in good health.
·English proficiency certificates (required for non-English native speaking applicants; TOEFL, GRE, or IELTS scores are preferred forms of proof).
·Other required materials include the scanned copies of filled application form, CV, student card, passport, ID card, and electronic file of personal ID photo (3.5*5.3cm color photo).

●Create a personal account and activate your account by clicking the link in the confirmation e-mail.
●Use the admission code "0331" to access the correct program category "Summer Program on Yangtze River Resources Utilization and Protection".
lFill out the application form, upload the required materials, and also send all materials to qiaohuafang@ccnu.edu.cn before April 30, 2026.
●Pay the application fee.
●The program fee shall be paid within three business days after the program start. The students meeting the requirement might get some subsidies.

About the Credit
Certificates will be issued to students participating in the summer program and completing all the required projects by CCNU. It’s recommended that the students who have completed the summer program be given or transferred three credits.
